Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Can you believe it’s already here? This is one of my favorite times of the year. I’ve always loved autumn, the air is crisp, the leaves are turning, and there’s just a general excitement everywhere. And of course, who doesn’t love an excuse to indulge in some candy?

Speaking of candy, I might have gone a little overboard this year. I started with five whole boxes of full-size candy bars. Yes, you read that right – full-size. I had grand plans of being the most popular house on the block, the one that all the kids brag about. The problem is, my willpower is apparently no match for a Snickers or Twix bar, and I’m already down to three boxes. And let’s just say my waistband is feeling a bit snugger these days. It’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make for the spirit of Halloween, though!

Another thing I really like about this time of year is watching all my guitar students get so incredibly excited. I get to hear about their costume ideas, haunted houses, and their favorite candy bars. It is really cool to see them so happy.

This year I got some special Halloween art from one of my budding guitarists. They colored some truly scary pages, and I’ve proudly displayed them at the bottom of the studio stairs. They add the perfect touch of Halloween spirit to the studio, it’s those little things that make teaching even more rewarding.

So, whether you’re out trick-or-treating with your family, jamming out to some spooky tunes, or just enjoying a quiet evening at home, I hope you all have a fantastic and safe Halloween. Don’t eat all your candy in one sitting (learn from my mistakes!)

Here’s a little something to get you in the mood:
