After taking up guitar as an adult and self learning for a year, I decided to start taking lessons. Working with Karney has been a huge leap forward in my musical journey. He’s super knowledgeable and a skilled musician.  After working with him for a couple years now, my playing ability and musical knowledge have drastically improved. Karney is an incredibly talented teacher and musician. When he picks up the guitar, it is a real treat. I feel like I could listen to him play for hours. He’s the real thing. Then, when he’s teaching the drums, Karney can unlock excitement in our middle schooler that we never would have seen otherwise. It takes a truly fun and friendly teacher to get an 8th grader to fully engage in a lesson, gain the confidence to try something new, and demonstrate a new skill all at the same time. He coaches our son with such lightness that the student is unaware of how much knowledge he gained in just one session.
